Located in northeastern Gunsan, Oseongsan Mountain is only 227m high, but because of its geographical significance to be adjacent to the Geumgang River, this place appears in many historical records. According to "Yeojidoseo Book" published in 1760, town people had a ritual ceremony for five brave generals of Baekje as they fought against the Silla-Tang Alliance. At the top of the mountain, there is a "Tomb of Five Saints," providing a clue that this Oseongsan Mountain (Mountain of Five Saints) originated after this story.
The road is paved for visitors to drive to the top of the mountain; thus visitors of Gunsan come here. At Dojinbong Peak, which is one of the peaks of Oseongsan Mountain, there is a trace of a beacon fire station.
